Hello there! Thank you for taking the time to visit my site. My name is Karitza, and I am the founder and photographer here at Karizma Photography. Being that you are here, I dare to assume that like me, you have a minion or two that have taken over your world. As for me, I have two, a handsome boy and a beautiful little girl. My children have taught me so many things, one of which is that the key to happiness is appreciating each moment of life regardless how it presents itself. Esteven and Anessy are my biggest blessings and the inspiration behind Karizma Photography. Behind every inspiration there is a story that sparks it. For me it was quite tragic… I mean I seriously still tear up about it, and then I quickly realize this why I do what I do today.
So, although I began my photography journey with photographic film, by the time I had my children, I was deep into digital photography. All digital images saved on an external drive for safe keeping. Printing and putting together albums were no longer necessary. Plus, it saved me money and I won’t fail to mention all the space I saved in my closet. Best thing since the camera itself. Yet, I was up for a rude awakening. What I hadn’t prepared for was the possibility of the hard drive crashing and it did! All memories of my little ones vanished. Hospital pictures and their whole first year, lost because I chose to place my most valuable possession in the hands of technology. From this very experience I have focused my vision on providing families with tangible memories of their little ones first year.
So what else is there to know about me? Well I am a single mother of two humans, a shih-poo (shih-tzu and poodle mix) named Buster, and a sun conure named Marley. My living room has been converted into my studio and my master bedroom into a living room. I was born and raised in New York, and moved to Miami in 1999. I am early child development certified, have a degree in Digital Design and Animation, and another in Photographic Technology. My vision in life is to live in service to others as well as myself. To provide families something they can look back on 40, 60, and even 80 years from now. To inspire happiness upon my children and all those around me.
Thank you for taking the time in getting to know me. Now lets create a memory!
